1. Will our marriage be legal in my country?

     Yes, your marriage will be legally binding worldwide.

2. Can bring my minister to perform our ceremony?

No, only ministers licensed in The Bahamas can

         Perform ceremonies but your minister may assist.

3. Can we get married on the weekend?

Yes, but you will have to be in The Bahamas by the Thursday before your wedding so that you meet the overnight residency requirement necessary to get your license.

4. I’m divorce will me paper be returned?

No, they will be kept on file in the Registrar General

Office, But you won’t need them again!

5. Can I bring my bouquet?

 If the bouquet is Silk flowers it’s allowed but, Fresh flower is not allowed by Bahamas Customs.

6. Can we bring a marriage license from my country?

No, only a license issued in The Bahamas is legal here.

7. Is a blood test required to get married in The Bahamas?

No, a blood test is not required.

8. Can we bring photocopies of our divorce papers to use in licensing process?

No, you will have to bring original papers or court certified copies.

9. We would like to get married the day we arrive.

You will have to be here 24hrs before you can register to be married and 48hr before you can get married.                          

    10. Will we have someone to help us thru this process?

    11.  Is in Church our only option, when getting Marry there?

            Definitely not, choices are many:   Local beaches, Private
